With responsibility into the future
THONI ALUTEC is always mindful of sustainably protecting the resources of our planet and continuously reducing the CO2 footprint. A dedicated team is responsible for researching and implementing all sustainability measures within the company. In doing so, it also forms the interface between suppliers, us, and customers.
Our entire internal supply chain is logistically interconnected and thus offers our customers sustainable value creation from a single source.
Our contribution to a better future… Green energy for the production of alternative energy solutions.

Reduction
Reducing all resources in the production of our products is a top priority and the key to genuine sustainability.
By redesigning existing components, we offer our customers immediate weight reduction and simplification of assembly processes that are added to the component if possible. This results in savings of material, energy, and costs. Our design suggestions are supported by extensive simulations.
To make the best possible use of both electric and fossil energy, we invest regularly in our systems and facilities. As a result, we always achieve the best efficiencies available on the market for melting and heating.
Reuse
Recycling materials, retrofitting systems, and repairing process machinery are ideas that rarely resonate in a throwaway society. However, THONI ALUTEC lives sustainability and continuously finds new ways to preserve resources of every kind.
Wherever feasible, packaging for internal or external logistics is switched to reusable solutions.
Internally and externally, we rely on recycling all of the materials we use. In this way, we minimize disposal and environmental burden. Chips, sand, minerals, plastic, wood, etc. are given new life.
Avoidance
Too much of everything?
Overcapacity or too much material?
Recycling is an important point of sustainability. However, instead of only recycling, we also focus on avoidance. Avoiding unused capacity and unnecessary consumption of materials and energy.
The utilization of machine tools across industries is at 35%. This means that nearly 3 times as many machines are installed as necessary. To counter this phenomenon, we rely on optimally coordinated production planning of our internal supply chain.
To reduce material and energy consumption, we analyze our usage at the component or department level. Any anomalies are regularly assessed and the respective teams initiate measures to reduce resource usage.
Implementation
Analyze, define, and implement. This is the basis for everything we do regarding sustainability and we involve our employees in the process from the very beginning.
- Training
To keep our employees up to date in all technical and legal aspects, we conduct both internal and external training sessions. - Teamwork
As our sustainability efforts are interconnected across processes and departments, collaboration and exchange within the team are essential. In this way, synergies are identified, evaluated professionally, and implemented jointly.
